Water-soluble yarn, also known as PVA yarn, is generally yarn spun from water-soluble vinylon fiber.
The solubility of water-soluble yarn is generally above 80-90 degrees, and theoretically it can have a water-soluble temperature of 0~100ºC for various purposes.
Water-soluble vinylon fiber comes in two categories: filament and short fiber. It is an ideal water-soluble fiber for producing water-soluble yarn.
General water-soluble yarn products include: environmentally friendly water-soluble yarn, room temperature water-soluble yarn, water-soluble yarn, water-soluble blended yarn, etc.
Characteristics of water-soluble yarn:
Water-soluble thread has ideal water-soluble temperature and strength, good acid resistance, alkali resistance, and dry heat resistance. It is odorless and non-toxic when dissolved in water. The aqueous solution is colorless and transparent, and can be naturally biodegraded in a short period of time. .
(1) It has good water solubility and can be completely dissolved in hot water according to different needs.
(2) Good mechanical properties. (Strength is about 25cN, elongation is about 25%, plasticity, hardness, impact toughness, multiple impact resistance and fatigue limit, etc.)
(3) Good weather resistance: Among all fibers, second only to acrylic fiber, its strength decreases slightly after long-term exposure to the sun.
(4) The hygroscopicity is better than that of vinylon short fiber, with a moisture regain rate of 5.0 to 6.0% under standard conditions and good spinning performance.
(5) Natural biodegradability: Water-soluble fiber can be naturally biodegraded after being dissolved in water, or can be rapidly degraded in activated sludge without causing any pollution to the environment.
